The Singleton of Dufftown – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

The Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The Singleton of Dufftown was built during the reign of Queen Victoria. The flask-shaped bottle in blue flint glass draws on the 19th century, when flasks were customary because they were easier to transport and less prone to breakage, particularly on horseback. The nose is malty, with barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut. The palate has orange zest spice over malt, nuts, oak and toffee, with hints of cut grass. The finish is oaky and long, with some fruit lingering.
