The Whistler PX I Love You is an Irish single malt made from 100% malted barley, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished for nine months in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The sherry casks are the focus here, and the whisky shows a clear sherry influence.
The nose is rich with dried berries, sultanas, cherries, candied orange and sticky demerara sugar. The palate is viscous yet fresh, with nuts, spicy citrus and a touch of leather. The finish is long and dry, with dark chocolate.
