The Yamazaki Mizunara Oak 2022 Edition (70cl, 48%)

The Yamazaki Mizunara Oak 2022 Edition is a Japanese single malt from the Yamazaki distillery, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release defined by its cask: mizunara oak, which brings Yamazaki's signature sandalwood, incense and coconut character. It is a Tsukuriwake, or artisan-selection, bottling, built on the idea of artisanship through a diversity of making. The nose is rich and elegant, with custard cream and cinnamon. The palate is gentle, aromatic and round, with spiced sweet notes, and the finish is deep and woody, recalling Japanese incense.
