This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Thomas S. Moore, a range from Barton 1792 Distillery in which bourbon is finished in casks that previously held wine or spirits. This one was finished in Chardonnay casks and is bottled at 97.9 proof.
Barton 1792's high rye recipe bourbon is aged for many years in new charred oak barrels before moving to the finishing casks, where it spends a further one to three years.
