Thompson Bros Clynelish 2013 is a 12 year old Highland single malt, distilled at Clynelish in 2013 and bottled at 52.3% in a 70cl bottle. Phil and Simon Thompson selected it for the Australian market in partnership with Casa de Vinos.
It comes from a single re-charred hogshead, cask 314377, and yielded 102 bottles.
The nose is waxy and fruity, with orange, waxy honey, quince paste, green apple skin and peach stone. The palate brings orange, barley, wet stone, salinity, oak char, liquorice, fennel and mandarin pith. The finish is long, with marmalade, candle wax and pear drop.
