A Speyside single malt from Thompson Brothers, distilled in 2006 and aged for 15 years in a refill barrel. It was bottled in 2022 at cask strength, 52.4%, in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. Only 552 bottles were produced.
The label is inspired by the house martins that nest on the worm tubs of the distillery, which give a rich, full-bodied distillate.
The nose offers figs, plum pudding, autumn leaves, shiitake mushrooms and golden sultanas. The palate is full-bodied, with raisins, dates, olive oil, Dijon mustard and sherry flor. The finish brings oak, dry ginger, wholemeal bread and pumpkin seed.
