Thomson – Manuka Smoke Full Noise New Zealand Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 52%)

Full Noise is a single malt from Thomson in New Zealand, made with New Zealand barley malt smoked over manuka wood. It is bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matures in ex-bourbon American oak casks and is bottled at cask strength, neither chill-filtered nor coloured. The manuka smoke is brought well forward, alongside cinnamon, clove and cardamom, oak and dried herbs, with vanilla, caramel and toasted oak behind. On the nose, manuka wood smoke and aromatic manuka notes meet cinnamon and clove. The palate has cinnamon bark and oak with light smoke and fine herbal oils. The finish is medium in length, with dry oak spice, gentle smoke and a hint of clove.
