This is a ten-year-old single malt distilled at Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland. It was distilled on 27 August 2013 and bottled at cask strength on 31 August 2023, at 59% ABV, in a 50cl bottle.
It matured fully in a first-fill sherry cask, and the deep mahogany colour and strong sherry influence show at once. It is a private cask edition.
The nose offers raisins, tobacco and leather, with eucalyptus freshness. The palate brings orange marmalade, vanilla and raisins, and the finish is spicy-sweet with old sherry wood.
