Tim Smith Southern Reserve Rye is a rye whiskey from Tim Smith Spirits, golden amber in colour. Tim Smith is a third generation moonshiner, known for his role in Discovery Channel's Moonshiners and for Tim Smith's Original Climax Moonshine. His family's moonshine recipe is 100 years old, and he has kept it secret while building it into a national brand. The notes open with spicy, toasted American oak, followed by a gentle, warm finish of sweet rye and caramel.
