A single malt from Tobermory, the distillery in the town of the same name on the Isle of Mull. This bottle dates from the 1980s, carries no age statement and is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The whisky is thought to have been distilled in the 1970s.
The nose is oily and waxy, with a faint sweetness of peaches, oranges and perhaps pineapple, then mineral notes, flint, sweet mint and a touch of silver polish. The palate brings mint, yellow apples and oranges, with a coastal edge and some peat. The finish is lemon and salt.
