Tokinoka Blended Whisky (50cl, 40%)

Tokinoka is a Japanese blended whisky made by Eigashima Shuzo at its White Oak Distillery in Akashi. It comes in a 50cl bottle at 40% abv, with no added colouring. The blend is mostly grain whisky with malt whisky added. The components mature in ex-bourbon, sherry and shochu casks, the last having held the Japanese spirit shochu. The brand was developed for Société Dugas. Honeyed grain, green apple and raisins show on the nose. The palate brings white chocolate, floral malt and maple syrup, and the lightly oily finish carries pink pepper and vanilla.
