This is a Tomatin 10 Year Old, a Highland single malt from the 1970s. It has a gold colour.
The nose is piney and fairly smoky, with camphor, flint, crème de menthe and fresh concrete, followed by caraway and juniper. On the palate it is punchy and strongly herbal, with ginger, liquorice wood, leather, curry paste and pepper, and juniper runs right through it.
The finish is long, with more juniper and ginger root.
