Tomatin – 11 Year Old 2013/2024 Hart Brothers First Fill Sherry Butt

This is an 11 year old Tomatin from the Highlands, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024 by the independent bottler Hart Brothers. It is a single malt that matured in a first fill sherry butt. The sherry cask shapes the character here, with dried fruit and nut notes running through the nose and palate. On the nose there are raisins and plums alongside almond and hazelnut, rounded by a warm sherry sweetness. The palate is full and sweet, with dried fruit and fine spices. The finish is long, with balanced sweetness, restrained spice and a fine dryness.
