Tomatin – 11 Year Old 2013 First Fill Sherry Butt Hart Brothers (70cl, 54.9%)

This is a single cask Tomatin, distilled in January 2013 and matured for eleven years in a first-fill sherry butt. Hart Brothers bottled it in March 2024 at a cask strength of 54.9%, in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. The first-fill butt gives a pronounced sherry character with dried fruit, nuts and spice. Raisin, fig and date sit alongside dark chocolate and espresso, with orange, caramel, cinnamon and oak. The nose shows rich sherry and dark fruit, with raisins, dried apricots, roasted nuts and cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied and sweet, with caramel, nuts, dark chocolate and spice. The finish is long and warming, with elegant dryness and oak spice.
