Tomatin 12 Year Old 2008 Rivesaltes - French Collection

This is a Highland single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 2008 and released at 12 years old. It belongs to the Tomatin French Collection, which explores the influence of different French wine and spirit casks, and here the whisky has spent time in Rivesaltes wine casks. The Rivesaltes casks add ripe and dried fruit, sweetness and spice to the underlying malt and orchard-fruit character of the whisky. The palate goes on to show vanilla and oak.
