A 12 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at 43% ABV. The sherry casks add a slight extra twist to a rounded whisky.
Tomatin was founded in 1897 and is among the largest distilleries in Scotland, with 23 stills.
The nose combines sherry and fruit sweetness, raisins and orange alongside malt. The palate is creamy and full, with caramel and spice. The finish is fairly short, with malty sweetness that settles softly at the back of the tongue.
