A 12 year old single malt from Tomatin, part of the French Collection range, in which whisky is finished in a selection of French wine and spirits casks.
This one was finished in Rivesaltes wine casks, which gave it zesty, fresh fruit and warming nutty notes. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose there is orange oil, red berries, buttered bread and flaky pastry. The palate brings marmalade, grapefruit pith, malt and a touch of walnut, and the finish is lastingly sweet, with sugared almonds.
