Tomatin – 12 Years 2010 Italian Collection Amarone Cask

A 12-year-old single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 2010. It spent ten years in ex-bourbon casks, then a further two in casks that previously held Amarone, the dry red wine of the Valpolicella region in northern Italy. It is one of three releases in Tomatin's Italian Collection, all matured in Italian wine casks. The nose combines orchard fruit with dried fruit, orange peel and marzipan. The palate brings sweet, port-like notes, red cherries, toffee and cinnamon. Baking spices, raisins and caramel linger in the finish.
