Tomatin – 12 Years Old Italian Collection Barolo Edition (46%)

This is a 12 year old single malt Scotch from Tomatin, part of its Italian Collection and finished in Barolo wine casks. The spirit was distilled on 6 December 2010 and spent ten years in traditional ex-bourbon oak. On 10 February 2021 it was moved into Barolo wine casks for a further two years. It is bottled at 46%. The nose is mulled wine and dark chocolate. On the palate come spiced mead and cranberry, with fresh grapefruit citrus underneath. The finish leaves light tannins and sugared almonds.
