Tomatin 14 Year Old Portwood is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It joined the distillery's core range in 2014.
The whisky is matured in bourbon barrels and in specially selected Port casks, which add a wine-like sweetness.
The nose is fairly powerful, with bunches of red berries and grapes, vanilla, oak and a little white pepper. On the palate there is dark chocolate dipped in strawberries, crushed almonds and walnuts, and a Victoria sponge with jam and cream, centred on oak. The finish is fruity.
