This is a 15 year old Tomatin single malt, bottled at 46% ABV. It is the second part of the Portuguese Collection, a set of three bottlings.
The whisky was distilled on 8 September 2006 and matured for over eight years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. On 23 April 2015 it was moved into Moscatel de Setúbal casks for a further seven years.
The nose offers marmalade, honey and salted caramel with a hint of citrus. On the palate it is sweet, with ginger and star anise. The finish is long and reminiscent of dessert wine.
