Tomatin – 15 Year Old Portuguese Collection Port Edition (46%)

Tomatin 15 Year Old Port Edition is the first of three bottlings in the Portuguese Collection, a set of single malts distilled on 8 September 2006. Each spent more than eight years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks, then moved on 23 April 2015 to Tawny Port, Moscatel de Setúbal or Madeira wine casks for a further seven years. This one matured in Tawny Port casks and is bottled at 46%. The nose recalls Black Forest cherry gateau, with warm spices developing into fresh summer fruit. The palate is deep with blackberries, raspberries and cherries, and peach and apricot return in the finish.
