Tomatin – 15 Years Portuguese Collection Moscatel Edition

A 15-year-old single malt from Tomatin, part of a limited Portuguese Collection that shows the influence of different Portuguese wine casks. It was distilled on 8 September 2006 and spent 8 years in traditional Scottish oak casks. On 23 April 2015 it was moved for a further 7 years into casks that held Tawny Port, Moscatel de Setúbal and Madeira. The nose is syrupy toffee, sweet orange peel and oaky vanilla. The palate brings dates and candied orange peel with black pepper and cinnamon, and the finish is sticky fruit cake with a little caramel.
