Tomatin – 18 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

This is an 18-year-old Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky matured in traditional oak casks before a final period in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. Dried apricot, nougat and nutty notes move into tropical fruit alongside a sweet, oak-led character. The nose combines sweet sherry with apple, cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate honey sweetness and oak come first, followed by citrus and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is long, sweet and lightly dry.
