This is an 18 year old single malt from Tomatin, a distillery in the Monadhliath Mountains just south of Inverness. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is dry in style, and its final maturation takes place in first fill Oloroso sherry butts.
In the tasting notes, dried apricot, nougat and distinctive nutty flavours give way to bursts of tropical fruit and mellow undertones, ending in a rich, full-bodied finish.
