This is a 27 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2016 as Limited Release Batch 3. It was matured in bourbon casks and Port pipes, and 1,800 bottles were released at 50%.
The nose is ripe red fruit, vanilla, light spice and soft oak. The palate is full and round, with honey, blueberries, stewed fruit and a little chocolate. The finish is long and sweet, with spice and warm wood.
