A single cask Tomatin from the Highlands, distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2021 at 32 years old by Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in cask 4226, a single refill American hogshead, and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.5% without colouring or chill filtration. The cask yielded 217 bottles. The nose combines dried mango, lemon peel and cracked black pepper with green apple and a little Demerara sugar. On the palate come Seville orange, ripe banana and chilli spice, then baked apple, grapefruit zest and a hint of tobacco. The finish is full and slightly dry, with pineapple and mature oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
