This is a 32 year old Tomatin distilled in 1989 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series. It matured in a refill American hogshead and comes at 54.5% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The outturn was 217 bottles.
Tomatin Distillery was founded in 1897.
The nose shows ripe fruit with subtle wood and a touch of spice. The palate is full and complex, balancing sweet fruit with spicy accents. The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak and a hint of vanilla.
