This is a single cask Tomatin from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in 1993 and matured for 30 years in a first-fill sherry puncheon. It was bottled on 17 April 2024 at 58.4%, and the cask gave 502 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose combines forest fruits, peanut brittle and red apple, followed by butterscotch, citrus peel and malt biscuit. On the palate come mandarin, clove, brown sugar and sultanas, then blackcurrant jam and ginger. The finish is full and spicy, with ripe oak lingering.
