This is a 15 year old Tomatin from 2006, matured in port casks and made in the Highlands of Scotland. It is part of the distillery's Portuguese Collection. The collection looks at three parts of Scotch whisky: the quality of the spirit, the quality of the casks and the people involved. One of them is Jose Mesquita, Tomatin's Portuguese Sales Ambassador since 1998, who felt from early in the relationship that Tomatin would age well in Portuguese wine casks.
