This Tomatin is a 15 year old Highland single malt from 2006, part of the Portuguese Collection. It was aged in Scotch whisky casks for 8 years, then finished in Moscatel wine casks.
The collection looks at the quality of the spirit, the quality of the casks and the people involved. Jose Mesquita, Tomatin's Portuguese Sales Ambassador since 1998, believed from early on that Tomatin would age well in Portuguese wine casks.
The sweetness of the Moscatel brings marmalade and spice.
