This Tomatin was distilled in 2006 and is a 15 year old Highland single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition from the Portuguese Collection, a series of whiskies finished in Portuguese wine barrels.
This one was finished in Moscatel de Setubal casks.
The nose shows orange peel, honey, dried apricots and light spice. The palate has rich sweetness, muscat grape, caramel and soft wood, and the finish is round and warm, slightly fruity with a hint of spice.
