Tomatin 2008 The Rivesaltes Edition - French Collection

This is a 2008 single malt from Tomatin, part of the distillery's French Collection, which looks at the effect of French wine and spirits casks. Others in the collection use Monbazillac, Sauternes and Cognac casks. The spirit was distilled on 19th September 2008 and matured first in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. On 13th July 2017 it was moved to a Rivesaltes wine cask for its final maturation, and it was bottled on 29th March 2021. It combines fresh fruit with the sweet, nutty richness of Rivesaltes wine. Sweet and bitter flavours are balanced, with a prominent barley note from nose to finish.
