Tomatin – 2010-2023 12 Year Old Italian Collection Amarone Cask (70cl, 46%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 2010 and released by the distillery in 2023. It belongs to the Italian Collection, a trio of 2010 small batches finished in different Italian wine casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This edition finished its maturation in casks that previously held Amarone, the Italian red wine. The nose brings poached pears and rhubarb and custard sweets. On the palate there is strawberry jam with Turkish delight and light butter pastry, and the finish is rich with cinnamon-spiced red apple.
