This Tomatin is a 2010 vintage single malt, matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon casks. It comes from Gordon & Macphail's Discovery range, where each expression sits within a Sherry, Smoky or Bourbon flavour profile, and this one belongs to the Bourbon group. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines lemon zest, rich tropical fruit and desiccated coconut, with honeydew melon and walnut developing. The palate offers dried pineapple, ripe green apple and honey, with brown sugar and dried banana behind. The finish is full, with lasting malted biscuit and charred oak.
