Tomatin – 2010 Old Friends (70cl, 55.5%)

This is a single malt from Tomatin in the Highlands, distilled in 2010 and bottled at 55.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is an independent bottling from Michel Reick, part of The Old Friends series. Cattle drovers were already buying whisky on the site of the present distillery in the 15th century, and it was legalised in 1897. The A9 between Perth and Inverness runs close by. Tomatin is among the largest distilleries in Scotland, and much of its whisky goes into blends.
