This is the first batch of Tomatin 30 Year Old, a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It spent three decades maturing in a combination of ex-bourbon and old sherry casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It comes in a presentation case with a matte finish, gold logos and a glass door.
The nose brings tropical fruit such as mango and papaya, with soft toffee, cranberries, honey and old polished oak. The palate is creamy, with dried fruits, crème brûlée, vanilla pudding and warming spices, and a sherry influence. The finish is very long, warm and gently spicy.
