This is an 8 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. It belongs to the travel retail range and matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
Vanilla and orchard fruit notes give way to darker fruit, with ginger and cinnamon alongside.
Baked apples and pears meet sweet vanilla on the nose. The palate is light and soft, creamy yet with some grip, with minty fruit and basil in the middle; a little water brings out ice cream and pineapple chunks. The finish pairs sweetness with gentle ginger and cinnamon spice.
