Tomatin – Cask Strength Bourbon & Sherry Casks

This is a Highland single malt from Tomatin, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and bottled at natural cask strength. The bourbon casks are described as adding vanilla, honey, orchard fruits and sweet oak, while the sherry casks bring dried fruits, caramel, chocolate and warming spices. Tomatin was founded in 1897 and describes its style as the softer side of the Highlands. It is bottled without chill filtration and with no added colouring. A few drops of water are said to bring out more fruit, sweetness and spice.
