Tomatin – Cask Strength Edition (70cl, 57.5%)

A Highland single malt from Tomatin, the distillery founded in 1897 in the village of Tomatin in the Monadhliath Mountains. It is bottled at natural cask strength of 57.5% in a 70cl bottle, at natural colour and without chill filtration. The whisky is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. The nose opens with dried fruit, toasted oak and vanilla, then spice and citrus peel. On the palate there is dark chocolate, raisins and sweet malt, with a warming spice that builds gradually. The finish is long, with sherry richness, oak and a touch of nutmeg.
