A cask strength single malt from Tomatin in the Highlands, bottled at 57.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Introduced in early 2015, it was the first cask strength bottling to join the distillery's core range. It is matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose opens with home-made ice cream with caramel and crushed walnuts, then Seville orange, red berries and black pepper. The palate has crystallised ginger, green apple and a touch of salty sea air, with sweet chocolate and cooking spices growing intense mid-palate. The finish is lasting, with vanilla pod and crumbly fudge.
