Tomatin – Cu Bocan 12 Years Caribbean Rum Cask Batch 1

Tomatin Cu Bocan 12 Years Caribbean Rum Cask Batch 1 is a peated Highland single malt, made from the malt Tomatin distils for one week each year at around 15ppm. Batch 1 was distilled on 10 December 2010 and finished in a mix of rum casks from Guyana and Barbados. The Barbados casks bring fresh tropical fruit and maritime notes, while the Guyana casks add depth and warming spice. The nose has sea breeze, charred oak, grilled pineapple, ginger and banana. The palate is fresh, with grilled pineapple, ginger and white chocolate, and the finish pairs campfire smoke with sweet rum.
