Tomatin – Cu Bocan 15 Years (50%)

Tomatin Cu Bocan 15 Years is a lightly peated Highland single malt, part of the Cu Bocan Creation series. It was matured entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry casks for at least 15 years, and 6000 bottles were filled at 50% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The Cu Bocan name, meaning ghost dog, comes from a Highland legend, and the peated malt is distilled during one week each year at 15 ppm. The nose offers sultanas, jam, nutmeg and the smoke of an autumn fire. On the palate there is more dried fruit, with flambeed orange peel, caramel and coffee. The finish recalls Christmas cake.
