Tomatin – Cu Bocan Creation #1

Tomatin Cu Bocan Creation #1 is a Highland single malt and the first release in the Cu Bocan Creation series. It was matured in a combination of Black Isle Brewery imperial stout casks and Bacalhoa Moscatel de Setubal wine casks. Tomatin distils peated malt for one week each year, and this whisky is sold under the Cu Bocan name, which means ghost dog, at 15 ppm. The nose brings espresso beans, red apples, toasted barley and shortbread. The palate has toffee apples, walnut, cedar, dark chocolate bitterness and a hint of plum. The finish recalls summer berry pie with a touch of chocolate sauce and subtle smoke.
