Tomatin – Cù Bòcan Creation #5 Colombian Andean Oak (46%)

Tomatin Cù Bòcan Creation #5 is a limited edition Highland single malt, bottled at 46% without chill-filtering or added colour. The spirit was distilled in December 2011 and first matured in refill American oak hogsheads. In June 2021 it was moved into casks made from Colombian Andean Oak, a wood that grows at 3,500 to 4,000 metres in the Andes. It spent a little over a year there. The nose is fresh and elegant, with spice, resin, ylang-ylang, clove and eucalyptus. The palate is rounded and soft, with campfire-grilled bananas, caramel brittle, clove and vanilla. The finish is long and smoky, with phenol, spice and exotic fruit.
