Tomatin – Cù Bòcan Creation #7 (46%)

This is the seventh release in the Creations series from Tomatin's peated Cù Bòcan range. It combines lightly peated spirit with rare Pineau des Charentes Rouge casks and new oak casks, to explore how smoke works alongside the two cask profiles. It is bottled at 46% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The label design draws on the smoky character of Cù Bòcan. The nose pairs tart rhubarb and raspberry with wood smoke, toasted almonds, shortbread and stewed apples, with a herbal note and plenty of honey. The palate is buttery pastry, red fruit, nuts and honey in heather smoke. The finish is creamy, smoky, sweet and sharp.
