Tomatin – Cu Bocan Signature

Tomatin Cu Bocan Signature is a lightly peated Highland single malt from the Tomatin distillery. It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and oak casks. The peated malt is distilled in small quantities during one week each winter, at 15 ppm, and sold under the Cu Bocan name, which means ghost dog. It is the only peated whisky Tomatin makes. The nose is dry and fragrant, with wood smoke, dried lemon peel and vanilla, then orchard fruit and heather honey. On the palate come barbecue char, cooking spices and pear, followed by orange peel, leather and espresso. The finish brings muscat grapes, light smoke and a little nut.
