Tomatin – Cù Bòcan Signature (70cl, 46%)

Cù Bòcan Signature is the core expression of the Cù Bòcan range, a Highland single malt from Tomatin. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The spirit is distilled each winter in small quantities from lightly peated Scottish barley, which gives a hint of smoke. It matures in three types of cask: bourbon, Oloroso sherry and virgin North American oak, adding honey and coconut, molasses and coffee, and citrus and pecan pie respectively. The nose is dry and fragrant, with wood smoke, dried lemon peel, vanilla, orchard fruit and heather honey. On the palate come barbecue char, cooking spices and pears, then orange peel, leather and espresso. The finish has muscat grapes, light smoke and a little nut.
