Tomatin – Decades II (46%)

Tomatin Decades II is a single malt vatted from 21 casks, chosen from key years across the last five decades and bottled at 46% ABV. Only 3,600 bottles were filled. The casks include ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and re-charred French oak. It follows the original Decades, released in 2011 to mark former distillery manager Douglas Campbell's lifetime commitment to Tomatin. Fruit opens the nose, with sweet pastry, wood shavings, cooked fruit and floral coconut. The palate brings Christmas cake, maple syrup and fresh red berries before tropical fruit, and the finish is long, waxy and tropical.
