Tomatin Double Cask is a Scotch single malt matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at 40% ABV. It is a rich, layered whisky.
The nose has baked apples and pears sweetened with vanilla. On the palate these give way to deeper dark fruit, balanced with ginger and cinnamon, leading to a sweet, spicy finish.
